What's it all about?

Believe it’s time for change
Know that life is good
Make changes the Bridge Cottage way

For many of us, the bubble has burst, with the cost of living rising, jobs in jeopardy, and the time of extravagant spending and never ending credit coming to an end. If you no longer want to feed the corporate machine, and would like to help slow the drain on the world’s precious resources, and improve life for you and your family, then The Bridge Cottage Way is for you.

My informative blog will, with the help of friends and family from Bridge Cottage, help you to learn about living more simply, learning to cook with food that is in season, and can be grown at home or gathered from the hedgerows. Look out for the blog about picking sloes and making sloe gin.

The Bridge Cottage Way will teach you how to knit, sew, mend and make do, thus reducing the need to buy more and more clothes from the high street. As Christmas approaches, we will find ways to make presents, decorations, eat, drink and be merry, the Bridge Cottage Way.

I will be suggesting ways you can reduce, reuse and recycle in many ways so that we are all doing our bit to care for the planet and the world’s finite resources.

I will be also be looking at family values, and suggesting activities that can be done by all the family, getting children away from their screens and back into nature.

This is the start of a new venture, but it is based on years of experience, bringing up my family The Bridge Cottage Way ....come and join won't regret it!

. I am currently conducting research into blogs that focus on sustainable living as part of my Masters at the University of New England, Australia. We are looking for people to participate in a short online survey (5-10minutes), link below
